Our mission
Kohlhoff GmbH is a yacht outfitter, importer and wholesaler of high-quality equipment based in Altenholz near Kiel. The company is well known in the German sailing scene, as it is one of the key players in the industry.
In order to retain current customers and increase the loyalty of new target groups, active community maintenance should take place in social media.
Our approach
The best way for Kohlhoff GmbH to achieve the goal of community building is to use social media. Instagram and Facebook were identified as relevant platforms.
A content strategy was developed in collaboration with the company: Content should show the employees' day-to-day work as authentically as possible. In addition, finished products should be presented on social media. These are often custom-made products.
One challenge in this project is the client's specialization in the sailing sector. In order to appear authentic in the sailing scene, wording must be in the "language of the scene" and the right technical terms must be used. Thanks to our agency's specialist knowledge, we were able to meet this challenge.
The result
Initially, the regularity of the channel coverage was the main focus. Every week, 3 picture posts and 1 reel were shared.
Most of the content was produced in raw quality by Kohlhoff GmbH and edited by us. The post production includes editing photos, cutting videos and writing captions to tell storys.
Voice-over reels were developed as a recurring format. In this way, relatively simple photo material can be presented in the form of a short video. This short video format with storytelling elements is currently spreading very well on social media due to algorithmic benefits.
In order to expand the content pool, we support for special occasions in production. For example, in the creation of a tour format through the headquarters of Kohlhoff GmbH entitled "Kohlhoff Roomtour".
In the first 90 days of the collaboration, Kohlhoff GmbH's Instagram account was able to increase its reach by around 600% compared to the previous 90-day period.
Regular posting of content ensures a continuous increase in the number of followers.
